3. Storage space optimization: Lastly some pdf programs can optimize your documents for electronic storage space by automatically removing unused objects within them such as metadata which contain copyright information along with other forms of hidden data about each document.. This allows for more compact indexing thus reducing overall storage sizes for both indexing and backup purposes
